Lorna was a frequent face I saw around the building and we became work friends when I plucked up the courage to ask her a question, from then on we spoke always when we set eyes on each other.  I usually stopped her in her tracks as she was a dedicated employee of DTI/BERR/BEIS usually running around as a committed employee, and well loved.  You always saw her name on HR emails giving the helpful notifications to all, and then you saw her name again, committing to voluntary emails ie BAME activities etc. She was well known.  I can honestly say she was someone who inspired me last year to become a Co-Chair of the BAME Group in UKGI.  It was people like Lorna, behind the scenes, who you knew for many years.  I can't believe she has gone, it's still a shock and I am very tearful.  She was one of the last few people I saw before we went into Lockdown last year.  May she rest in eternal peace.  Love you Lorna.  Sandra D x
